Can’t change setting resets on startup
You can’t connect out to Bluetooth devices, your setting won’t save, wifi is always off after restart, doesn’t not allow for Bluetooth tethering/internet. Lots of clicking if android volume is up. No online support. To use navigation you will need to go into setting each time and turn on wifi. You will get background notifications when using apps asking about battery saving. Bluetooth audio doesn’t show artist thumbnail. Bluetooth audio stops when you want to change climate controls or anything in idrive. Screen is an improvement over stock but aspect ratio is odd. With this software limitation set by pemp I would not recommend their android headunit. Pemp isn’t releasing updates. After 3months I now have lost Bluetooth music controls have to use phone to change songs now.

Great product, fast shipping, and worth the money.
I was really wary when I was considering this aftermarket head unit for my 2010 BMW 335i E93 CIC N54 but am very happy I bought it. The pictures and descriptions were a little off though. What I mean is, these units come with Android 10 OS and customized software on it, so the interface could be different from what the pictures show, since they make so many of these types of units and customize them for so many different makes and models (mostly European/foreign cars). If you check the European Amazon site you will see they have many types of units. But this one in particular interested me because of the Apple Carplay interface. Once you install this unit (or pay to have it installed) you just plug your iPhone in and you can use your steering wheel controls and never have to touch your phone to listen to music. Plus the Apple Carplay interface really looks good. This can easily be installed with basic car electronics knowledge and watching YouTube videos. There are quite a few out there to watch and it takes 2-3 hours to do total. Or just pay a local car shop or have the Geek Squad do it. I did run into some problems with the unit. It only has 1 rca jack for video input. They advertise that you can have a front and rear camera setup but that’s not possible. So I just have a rear camera setup, however, when I put the car in reverse the video was all messed up. I just had to go into the settings and change it to a different type and it works fine now. Also, the original bmw menu was blocked by a side menu of the new unit. But again I had to go into the settings to make it work. All of this was done with the help of the seller. They would correspond with me and help me with any questions I have. All in all, worth the money and I’m happy with the unit. Oh one more thing, when I installed the unit myself I had to get a male to male audio cord, they didn’t provide one. This is a must have because you have to connect the new unit to the AUX IN in your center console to have it play through the car speakers.

The WORST
Followed the instructions to the letter still NO SOUND! CALLED AMAZON FOR TECH SUPPORT! NOTHING!!!! Now my factory unit functions as is should with the aux, Bluetooth and Bluetooth music works. Installed this and everything works but NO SOUND. Even when the directions are followed no sound and the aux volume is stuck at ZERO! Installed the factory unit back in well I just be dipped everything is working again EVEN THE AUX AND BLUETOOTH!

not much to work with
I was disappointed in this screen because it is not a high quality product although it is priced as if it was an upgrade that makes the idrive more useful and it doesn’t add much to the system, a mediocre phone with a wired connection is a better option, this is just an idea that is obsolete for any amount of money, and this one is way overpriced for the functionality that is so boring I don’t ever use the android screen functionality, disappointed and taken for a ride with that price.

Product shipped with no installation instructions.
While this product appears to be OK out of the book. Quality seems decent if not great, and the users manual seems pretty comprehensive. It came with no installation instructions and there are no links on the product page to a website where i can get one. I have been consulting with Amazon for 3 days to try to get a hold of instructions. This seems like a pretty important oversight, particularly given that some questions asked about the product refer to installation and the response was to “carefully read the instructions”.But there are none.

Garbage wannabe
Looks cool until you try to use the features. Does NOT retain IDriveDOES NOT have Android AutoAudio just quit working one day. Seller responded wanting me to message his email. I did. No response over a week later. Don’t purchase. Amazon should stop stocking this item
