I love this mount.
I gave it 4 stars becuase it relies on the vent system. I tried this out in many cars and its not 100% perfect on each of them, Meaning in one it jiggles, in another it rips out the vent before it reaches a secure grip. The magnetic strength is EXCELLENT though. Put it on a fridge and it wont move lol

Strong magnet
Holder works just fine. The tab that holds the vent is metal and seems pretty strong. It was worked well for me(commercial truck driver). It does wiggle a little with the phone not attached. However, once the phone is on, the weight makes the mount secure. Magnet is strong and takes more effort than you would think to remove. I consider that to be a good thing.

Love this! It’s a game-changer for me. It’s so convenient to just snap my phone to the holder, not needing to adjust anything. I love it especially when you are in a rush, no extra step. It holds well, it will not move at all. I had to figure out at first how to put it into my vent because my car has a vertical orientation. Just had to rotate it accordingly and it worked!

Strong, secure mount
The MagSafe magnet is very strong; strong enough that I’m not worried about my phone falling off while hitting bumps or anything like that. The three legged mounting system with retractable hook is also pretty innovative, and more importantly, secure. Again, inspires confidence; way more that the rubber mounts that usually just squeeze the vents.

Maybe could be better, but to make it fit so many different vehicles is a challenge. It fits mine okay, I just couldn’t put it where i originally planned. The perfect Non-Charging MagSafe Mount (after modification)
Firstly, I ordered SEVERAL different MagSafe car mounts off Amazon and this one is BY FAR the absolute strongest. It’s actually pretty crazy just how securely it holds onto your iPhone. As long as you’re not rock crawling in a Jeep or taking your vehicle off any sweet jumps, it’s sure to hold on tight! That being said, I hate vent mounts and did not want to adhere a ball mount randomly somewhere on my dashboard.ProClipUSA makes amazing mounts that are custom fit specifically for your car, but I no longer wanted to use one of the types with a cradle to hold the phone in place. Unfortunately, that’s mostly what they utilize. They do have limited MagSafe options but they are not very impressive. That’s when I had an idea…I ordered the specific mounting base for my car, as well as a Garmin GPS ball mount adapter to connect to it. This provided the ballpoint that my new ESR HaloLock car mount could attach to and it attached FLAWLESSLY! Now with the combination of all three pieces, it allowed me to create the PERFECT mount for not only my current iPhone, but any other iPhone in the future (so long as they keep the MagSafe feature). It’s simple, clean, and looks factory.For those interested in copying my setup (even if you have a different vehicle), head over to ProClipUSA’s website, lookup your car and choose a mounting base, then search for part #215165 to find the Garmin GPS ball mount adapter. Pair those two pieces with this ESR HaloLock car mount and you’re good to go!

Quality product
The mag safe was a lot stronger than anticipated, which was exactly what I was looking for. Paired with the halo case, it is basically impossible for the phone to fly off. I found that other mounts were flimsy and had weak magnetism. This mount was exactly what I was looking for.

Finally works with Impreza
It’s a battle finding something for the vertical vents in my Subaru Impreza. This one works beautifully though, and the magnets are excellent. Only reason I’d deduct a star is the range on the swivel is a little tight. I have this on my passenger side which angles slightly away from the driver. I can swivel this so it’s just about flat with the existing head unit, but would be nice to have a little more play and be able to swivel it slightly farther towards the driver.

The three legged mount to stick to my car vent is not exactly as grippy – it can slide side to side and on extreme cases, fall off. I do still have my CD tray mount, but the mount where the bracket tightens around the ball is broken. Coincidentally, the bracket on this ESR mount is compatible with the CD tray one, so nice to be able to change mounting positions.The car vent mount is ideal for cooling the phone when used with GPS, when phone usage is high and temperature is risen.

Strong magnet, with a common sense design
I’m very impressed with the strength of the magnetic connection, my phone has not come off yet. I’m looking forward to a longer trip through the mountains to test it more thoroughly. The design makes sense using the clip around the fins and two feet to hold the entire mount steady. Triangle’s are the strongest shape because they distribute the weight equally to all sides which the designers use to their advantage. I’m going to order 2 more today.

Doesn’t work well with 1st Gen Tacoma vents
UPDATE: I was contacted by ESR and given a full refund, very much appreciatedSeems like a well-enough made product, and gets great reviews so I thought I’d try it instead of the RAM mount I was using. The magnet is very strong and holds my 15 Pro in its Spigen magsafe-compatible case very well in that regard, but the mount itself does not work well with any of the vents in my 2002 Tacoma. The vents tilt up/down and that seems to be one of the issues, mostly because the fins that the mount hooks to are very far forward which makes for a loose fit even when the mount is tightened all the way. It won’t fall off, but it shakes pretty badly. I can’t recommend this mount for 1st generation Toyota Tacoma owners, especially if you’re going off-road since even on smooth highways the whole mount shakes around making it difficult to read your navigation, and causing the phone to point different directions.It works great in my new Dodge Ram work truck, but make sure you have the right type of vents before buying (see manufacturer/product info)

Ridiculously strong magnet
I purchased this one over the vent since this one can be either a vent mount or comes with an attachment so you can mount it on your dash. The way the vent is shaped wouldn’t work on my right side driver vents and only on my left one which is still fine. Doesn’t get in the way and I can still feel my AC. Using this with an ESR case and he magnet connected room is doubled. Currently using a MagSafe leather compatible case and it works just as good. Definitely get this over other magnetic mounts.

Strong hold, modular design for multiple applications. Solid design.
I bought this to mount with the adhesive, but once I unboxed it I threw it on a vent before doing that (when you mount it with the adhesive you need to give it a while before throwing the weight of the phone on it and I was impatient). It’s been over a month and I haven’t made the time to mount it how I planned because it works so well in the vent. Most vent mounts are weak, but this design makes for a solid hold. A small metal bracket attaches to the back of the vent slot and you tighten it by turning a knob. I live off of two miles of bumpy dirt roads and it stays in place, and my iPhone stays on the magnet. Don’t know that I could be more happy with it, maybe I’ll mount it how I planned eventually.

Great fit!
It was really easy to set up and it doesn’t wobble once fixed to the air vent.The box brings a little arm-like attachment with some cleaning wipes so you can place it over the car’s dashboard. I won’t use it though, we have really hot and humid days where I live and I worry the glue might deteriorate over time.

The mount is fantastic! It clips onto my car’s CD player perfectly! Solid and sturdy. I love it and I’m grateful it has the ball joint because I used the circle piece from another kit. The circle magnet included is not deep enough for a normal popsocket. The circular socket needs to be deeper and they should include a metal circle that sticks to the back of the phone case so it has something to hold on to. And metal circle was not included either and I used a metal circle from another kit, again. Together, with two separate mounting kits, I have the best phone mount I’ve ever had!

Versatility is a Success – Looks Factory Made
Since I live in Houston, Texas I wasn’t really wanting to cover an AC vent. I also didn’t want anything overly sticky that would possibly ruin the dash or fail simply due to heat. So, I searched Amazon for something that looked like it had a mount I could get creative with.This one is a success! The mount allows you to basically hook on to any area of your vehicle that has a small lip. It hooks easily and then has padded legs to sit firmly against the area being used. The pads protect it from scratching your vehicle.I found and tested many grooves, all of which worked, where I could use this magnet, but I decided to place it right next to my charging port.Not only did this nifty device allow me to place it where I wanted it, but the magnet also holds my iPhone 14 Pro perfectly. It’s actually a stronger magnet than any other MagSafe gadget or charger I’ve owned.It honestly looks like its built-in to my vehicle. The setup and appearance makes it look as if it was factory made to come standard with my Jeep Grand Cherokee.So far I love it!

Great phone holder
This product works great. Easy to attach to your car. It’s small enough to not to get in your way if you don’t have a phone on it. I’ve got an iPhone 14pro and when attached it’s solid. Only on bad bumps did my phone cause it to swivel down and I worked construction hitting bad pot holes and big gravel. Definitely a good purchase.

Excellent Product Support and Customer Service
This mount was working well until the vent clamp broke apart, dropping my phone to the floor. 2 months beyond the one year warranty! I had to replace with a different one. Hopefully it will last a little longer.12/7/23 update. ESR customer service has reached out to me and refunded the purchase price of the broken product and also supplied a newer upgraded mount at NO CHARGE! I am very happy with their product support and will continue to purchase their phone accessories. I highly recommend them.

Perfect IPhone Holder for my 2022 Subaru Outback
I don’t like vent phone holders but this works perfect. I had purchased several diffierent holders for my iPhone 13 Pro Max, including the Belkin vent holder and they all failed. They either fell out, moved around or otherwise were not stable. This one works great!!! I’m soo happy I finally found on. Although my Outback has a great place to put the phone I found having this mount is wonderful as it gives me easy access to all the phone controls at my fingertips. The mount has three support points which make it sturdy and does not allow it to move around like many other vent holders. I drove 6hours and took it off road and it held the phone great. The phone never moved. I love this holder. Looks nice too. Much better than a bulky dash mount. This one doesn’t charge the phone, but that doesn’t bother me. I often times just keep it on the holder without the charger anyway. I would recommend this product to others

Actually works
I bought a more expensive hook clip style holder from a brick and mortar that was terrible, so I was skeptical of this one off the rip being that it was the same style and half the price. To my surprise this thing actually does what the more expensive product failed to do. The hook is much smaller and fits perfectly, clicks in tight and the support arms work great to keep this thing in place. No issues at all with this product. It mounts firmly, there is little to no slack, and the magnet is strong.Update: been about 6 weeks and the unit is solid. Hasnt loosened a bit, haven’t needed to touch it at all.

Finally, a good one!
I finally went for it and bought this mount. Great choice, I have to say. Easy to mount with the vent mount. Feels incredibly secure, doesn’t jiggle around on bumpy roads or railroad crossings. The magnet is really strong as well! Phone stays put and I have to pull just a little hard to get it to release, nothing crazy at all. It rotates around real well so you’re able to get the perfect angle you’re looking for. For around $20, it’s well worth the price.

Best ESR phone holder for Mercedes vehicles
For some vehicles with thick air vent panel like Mercedes, it’s hard to find a magnet phone holder that has the long hook to compatible with. Fortunately, this one works perfectly and it’s very easy to install and remove. The magnet works great with my MagSafe case as well. It has strong hold that my iPhone 15 Pro Max would not going to fall off. As a matter fact, it’s so strong that I can’t remove the phone from the holder with one hand. I guess it’s a good trade off from phone that falling off from the holder when I drive on rough road. Highly recommended!!!

Unbelievably hold!
ESR HaloLock car mount.iPhone 12 Pro ESR HaloLock case.The magnet is fantastic! Significantly stronger than any other mag car mount I’ve tried. I’ve never really had any complaints or issues with other mag car mounts, they’ve all held perfectly. This ESR is still significantly stronger than any other I’ve tried. It pairs really well with ESR phone cases. Some people have complained that it is almost too strong. I can appreciate that, but I personally bought this one specifically for that strength.My only issue with car mounts in general has not been with the magnet strength, but with the vent mount mechanism. The vent mount option is the best choice in my car. I’ve found only one other type that secures well. This ESR has a really solid and sturdy mechanism for attaching to my vent. Easy to attach and secure.No real negatives to speak of. Perhaps just a minor bit to pick. It will work with non-ESR MagSafe products, but is definitely designed to be paired with other ESR HaloLock items.

Excellent MagSafe Car Phone Mount
This is a very well-built and versatile MagSafe Car Mount (No Charging). It is very easy to use and has powerful magnets that grip a MagSafe phone very strongly and safely even through bumps and humps. Easy to install everywhere
I bought this mount-only model AND the wireless charger mount. The design of this mount is far superior to the mount on the wireless charging model. It fit easily in all four of the cars I tried and was very secure. Nice strong magnet that works with my iPhone 15 mag safe case. The swivel is great too if you want to view in landscape orientation. Best mount I’ve tried.

Finally found THE ONE!!
Needed a phone mount for my car to make my iPhone 14 Pro Max easily accessible while driving. My car has Apple Play but I cannot access all apps from it. I have a 2022 Kia Sorento and my vents are vertical. So I was a bit skeptical if this wld work. Some reviews said it worked on theirs and a couple said no. I took a chance & glad I did! I put the holder on the vent to the right of my steering wheel, just to the left of my touchscreen. And I hooked it thru the top opening, see pix. It does not block airflow. However I cannot turn the vent left or right but I can still slide the vent opening up or down. The magnet on this thing is STRONG! It works perfectly with my magsafe case. Fyi, I did have to tighten the hook adjuster AND the other twist knob after my car ride, probably from the vibrations and maybe from pulling my phone off. Very happy with this product.

Securely holds my IPhone 15 plus
I bought this to use the solid base mount option, to hold my phone to the top of the dash (not vent). I really like having this option, as I already have a base on my dash leftover from the previous GPS device, and now use my iPhone/GPS for driving directions. All I had to do was clean the base on my dash with the alcohol wipes provided, then peel the back off the adhesive, position and press the solid mount onto the mounting surface. Simple. I can’t comment on the vent attachment method, but looks like it would work as well. The magnet is strong, and doesn’t allow my phone to fall.
