So I bought an older version of this late last year and it worked great, recently just won’t come on anymore, messaged customer service and they offered me a deal I couldn’t refuse. The Launch CReader is Great!
My husband was so happy to receive this. He LOVES working on cars.This Launch CReader can do so much that I can’t even tell you because Michael was talking so fast about it! He told me that it would erase codes and reset lights. He says he can use this and know exactly what is wrong with the car before going to the mechanic and being ripped off. He is SO happy with that. We are very frugal so this really fits into our household well.He is extremely pleased with this and he has already told his friend to buy one.

Saved me on repairs on first use.
The diagnosed the reason my car was not starting with the first use of this code reader scanner tool. I had a Faulty spark plug. My car is under warranty so I was able to get the spark plug replaced for free. The mechanic could not tell me I was wrong because I had this code reader to show him the exactly what the problem was with my car starting. I had to update the reader out of the box but it’s all up to date.Update:I just picked up a new van for work and was able to save big because of this code reader. I was able to scan the van and saw multiple fixable issues that were not mentioned to me at the time of sale. This CReader helped me and saved me multiple times.

Great full-featured BMW Scanner
This is a great BMW scanner. It has a built in battery so you can run it in an area with WiFi to do software updates and then take it out to your car to do the work. When I received mine it had a (free) update to the BMW software right away. I connected it to the car and it quickly detected my VIN (I didn’t have to enter it like on some scanners – very nice!). Then I ran the diagnostic scan of all systems. It is really nice that this is a BMW specific scanner – as you can see in the pictures, it gives you specific information, not generic error codes that you have to look up. It also supports coding of features and modules (also in picture). This is really useful dealer-level functionality.The screen is bright and easy to read and the scanner interface is logical and quick to navigate.I didn’t test this function but it appears you can also purchase software for other car brands through the interface which is really nice. It also has generic OBD-II scanning so you can do basic scans on any car without buying anything extra.

Awesome Scanner, Very Good Value
This scanner is perfect for anyone with a BMW or MINI, it is affordable and has all of the service functions, bidirectional capability, live data, etc. If you own a MINI or BMW you need this, it will save you thousands of dollars in the long run, when you own an expensive car, you need to know whats going on with it, and this will help you. I just keep mine in the car

Scanner worked to register new battery
I plugged in the scanner and it automatically detected my VIN and the year and model of my car. I put in a new battery and registered it easily. I can see that it has many other functions to diagnose problems and clear codes.

Great Bang for the Buck
For less than $200 this one is hard to beat. Bi-directional, auto Vin detect (although it’s becoming a standard with most scan tools now) and detailed reports.Being able to send detailed reports or screenshots is great if you need to address several things. That way you don’t need to hook up the scan tool every time. Just go down the list of what needs to be addressed, then clear it once you’re done.If you’re used to Launch tools then navigation will be quick. For my BMW a full scan was less than a minute, it took me a while to learn where things were, but it’s easy to figure it out.

Have a BMW? This will save your life!
Doing work on various peoples BMW’s, I am finding it essential to have a scanner for codes but the manufacturing codes too because it gives you a ton of insight into any potential issues that you are missing by just simple OBDII. For instance, neighbor has one and can’t figure out issues for sound system not working. Turns out, it was saying communication with amp was not there. Also, I can control various car functions with taps of buttons, like activating the cooled seats! Super happy to have this device now in my arsenal.

Great scanner for BMWs
The media could not be loaded.
Overall this is a great scanner for a BMW. I was able to code and do any other advanced feature that I really needed to handle. It’s also really cool that you can add other vehicles to it which makes it more useful than just a BMW scanner. However, if you’re going to work on BMWs, you need something that has advanced level features like this. For the money, this thing is impressive.

Dont Hesitate, just do it!
This is a no brainer. I needed a scanner that would read all codes including ABS/SRS codes. After spending the same price on another code reader and returning after discovering i could no longer upgrade it (at additional cost) to read ABS/SRS codes i returned that one and bought this. This scanner is amazing and you cannot beat the price. Very large display that is easy to read and real time data is most helpful in troubleshooting issues.

Just got this specific Bmw scanner and tested on my above Bmw. This is a must have if you are a Bimmer person, has everything you need and plus free lifetime updates and support is quite quick in responding.Recommended for others to Buy and Use. Life Saver.
