Good charging power, so-so vent clamp
I previously had a vent-clamp car charger, but the clamp broke so I picked up a different variety, the kind that sits in your cup holder. Big mistake! The thing was a beast and awkward to use, so I wanted to go back to a vent-clamp charger. This one showed up on my feed and I decided to give it a go. My impressions:- It operates differently from every other car charger I’ve had. There is a touch button on the back (not the side!) that opens the phone holder. The device detects when the phone is placed in the holder and automatically clamps it. To release it, you have to reach around to the button in the back, which takes a little hunting to find. I’m sure I’ll get used to it, but I prefer the side buttons for release.- The blue light is kind of cool. It’s easy to see in the dark and adds a mysterious glow to the car. Probably not great if you want total darkness, like for a first date, but I’m *way* beyond that. I like it!- It charges my phone quickly, so it is definitely a fast charger. My wife and I can rotate whose phone goes into the charger on a single trip. Good stuff!- The vent clamp is not great. I have a Samsung S20 Ultra (7″), and while the phone holder has no problem opening wide enough to contain it, the entire unit feels a little wobbly on the vent. I’m concerned that I’m one small bump at highway speed away from having the whole thing pop out and fall on the floor.This is not my ideal vent-clamp charger, but maybe I’ll get used to it. I am tentatively recommending it, but this recommendation is subject to change. Stay tuned!

The clip is junk.
The charging pad itself seems decent. Didn’t realize it was a motorized clamp until I turned it on, and the port on the charger itself is actually VERY tight for the cable it comes with. The charger is a REALLY nice charger, other than the stupid blue LED. The wireless charger part is decent, but again, blue LED ring. Doesn’t seem too bright, but I really wish everything didn’t come with a dang LED on it.The issue is the vent clamp. It has a “hinge” RIGHT behind the rubber pads, so it can’t go deep onto the vent, but with that said, the clamp hasn’t let go of the vent yet, even when the pad (with my fold 4) has collapsed multiple times.The issue is the “kickstand”. It has multiple detents like it’s adjustable, but it is 100% reliant on the plastic of the kickstand itself to provide the “spring” pressure on the detents, and it just isn’t enough, so the kickstand only really works at 90 degrees, and it needs to “catch” on some feature on/near the vent to actually do anything.I’m probably going to look into 3D printing a different actual mount, as this thing is also so large it blocks part of the screen in my truck, which makes it hard to use.

Fit the Z fold perfectly and charge fine. You need to press the release button before you shut off your car otherwise, it will stuck there.

Ok Overall
I like this charger/stand but I’m disappointed that not very long after I got this it stopped charging my phone consistently. It constantly flashes off & on & it is annoying while driving @ night because the blue light is pretty bright while flashing. I tried & purchased a whole new plug for my car & that still didn’t fix the issues. I found out shortly after I got this that my friend got the same one before me & hers does the same also. Personally wish I would have looked for a different one but it’s not easy finding one that will work w/ the Samsung Fold

It’s ok it holds the phone product is light easy to install the bad thing is that it heats up my phone to the point that I can’t use it because the phone says is to hot an have shut down till it cools down.

Does not work if you have a case on your device!
Does not hold position. Does not work if you have a bulky case/ cover on it or one with pen holder. Can only be used on A/C vents.

Great at first.
This worked wonderful for about a month and a half. Now it’s ability to open and close is iffy. Also the charging is questionable, sometimes it works sometimes it don’t. I have tried different charge cords and turning the mount different ways. Very frustrating and past the return window.

Don’t buy it
This is the worst charger/holder that I have ever purchased!!!It clearly shows it’s for a zfold4 with vertical air vents but that is fulse!!It will Not even hold it’s self up with the phone let alone stay in one place. I repeat DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!! I was sent a used scratch up charger/holder.. I want my money back!!!

It Works OK
My son is using this car phone holder/charger in his Honda Accord. It does work. It holds the phone fine and charges it slowly. However, the holder/charger does feel cheap and plasticy. It may not last long, and my son said it’s not the best phone holder he’s ever had.

A great design, with some caveats…
The media could not be loaded.
This is a very nice Fast-charger car mount. I was a bit concerned about the blue LEDs being on all the time, but they actually turn off after a few seconds.I got this charger because the previous wireless charger I was using put pressure on the volume buttons on the side of the phone, causing the volume to drop (and switch to mute). This design, when used in portrait mode, doesn’t touch the right side of the phone at all (and very light pressure on the left).The charging seems good – I’m not sure I was getting Fast charging, but it depends on the power adapter, so who knows.About the only nits I can pick is that you should put your phone in the charger before you power up the car, as the clamp immediately closes when I turn on the car. Another thing to be aware of – you need to take your phone out of the charger BEFORE you turn off the car as well, since there’s no manual release. Activating the clamp release requires you to touch the touch-sensitive button on the back (another nice touch) before you turn off power. As long as you get in the habit of doing this, it shouldn’t be a problem. It definitely grips your phone when clamped.

Sadly it arrived not working
I ordered this phone mount for my car, was really excited to set it up on my car. To bad it didn’t work straight out of the box. The mount didn’t charge, and it just kept looping trying to turn on, that just kept bringing up the charging message on my phone overe and over non stop but it would actually not charge. I got frustrated to try to make it work, so I just threw it away. So can’t really recommend this product this time.

Very easy to use wireless car charger.
The charger port went out on my phone so I had to rely on the wireless chargers which do not work in the car as the phone does not stay on it. This one is fantastic! It mounts easily to the AC fins on the dashboard and has a super neat feature. You simply press a button on the back and it opens up to allow placement of your phone, then with another press it closes down to your phone assuring that it won’t slip out while driving. It charges quickly and really works well. I highly recommend.

Worked for very short time
It worked maybe a month n half. Now it says I cant return it. It turns on here n there bad wireing or something idk but ive tried everything to get it to work right. Came in damaged package and is made cheaply. Should be at least 90 day warranty geez.

Will not charge through phone case??? (Kia Soul Owners this is a NO GO)
Hi allQuick review of this item in bullet pointsPros-electric operation is iconic, I feel like all phone holders should operate this way in 2023-charging light stays on while charging good to know your phone is being charged.-cool charging protection – shuts off if your phone gets to hot-vent clips hold tight and may work for several different car models- aesthetically pleasing to the eye, very nice design, compact and futuristic.-iphone 13 10 watt charging works relatively fast (I went from 90% to 96% in about 10 minutes)-Horizontal or vertical installation options.Cons-design is not compatible with Kia 2023 Kia Soul-design prohibits the device from charging phones while a case is on-rotating the screen orientation requires you to remove the vent clip nut to orient the clip the correct way.-all of the device clamps for holding the phone in place cover all of your phones buttons including the power connector on the bottom of the phone..Quick reviewAs my title states I am reviewing this device for the 2023 Kia Soul… if you have this car I will not recommend this device for you. It seems like a lot of this generation of phone holders have a kickstand which prohibits the clip from sagging. On the Kia soul this kickstand either hits the touch screen or the radio button which makes the kick stand unusable. I have rotated mine 180 degrees so that the kick stand is out of use (facing upwards) but then it closes the driver side middle vent almost completely making it unusable while using this device.The charging system will not charge through a case, I fear this might be the issue for all who buy this device unless you specifically own a case with a charging ring built in… I cannot guarantee that this will work though, I am going to see if I can find a case like this and I will post up a post review update if I find one that works.Overall, I like this device, FOR SOME PEOPLE just not me. I think its a great design with quality in mind but I just received the device so give me a month or so to test it out and we will see.If you have ample room below your vents to facilitate a phone without interfering with your radio, and you don’t use a phone case I would say go for it. This is a great little device and I’m sure some of you with Android devices might get a kick out of the fast charge feature if it works correctly. I have no way of testing this device for fast charging but 15watt fast charging is exactly that FAST…. just again not while a case is installed on your phone. :(Convenience in mind, its sturdy (even upside down with not kick stand in my KIA) and it works well from what I can tell so far. I do agree with the previous commentary about making sure you get in the habit of removing the phone from the device before you shut off your car though because the electric clamping device will shut off with your car’s power.I would even have given this device a 5 star if it had in fact charged through my case but I think this is a MAJOR oversight considering the composition of 99% of phones are glass backed. I personally won’t sacrifice my phone’s protection for a charger… which therein lies another issue…Like I said the device uses USB C… what does this matter? If you’re using an Iphone with a lightning cable and a case you will have to have 2 wires available at all times, one to plug usb c into the device and one lightning cable to charge your phone when it starts to get low…. I don’t understand how these points get overlooked by manufacturer quality testing.Be wary and look to see if it supports your phone type also, it doesn’t support all phones even though it does suggest it is a case for “generic” phone types.Notes-don’t buy this if your vents are within 2 inches of your radio buttons or radio display.-don’t buy if you’re not going to sacrifice your phones protection for QI pass-through charging.Thanks for reading.

Not good for vertical vents

When used with horizontal vents, this is quite a nice charger. Once plugged in, the sides automatically adjust to the size of the phone, so you may want to place your phone before plugging it in, or simply tap the button on the back to open and close the sides. I can’t tell if the charger continues to run off the battery when the vehicle is turned off because the light is still on. I’ve been unplugging it while it isn’t in use just to be safe.If you have vertical vents, this charger may not remain secured to your vents. The vent attachment allows you to rotate the “stand” portion on the back, but when we tried to mount to a vertical vent, the clip kept slipping off of the vent due to the weight of the phone and the shallowness of the clip. Maybe this will work better on other vertical vent designs, but it didn’t in our vehicle.

Basic Charger. Slow but functional.
I wanted the wider charger for my Galaxy Fold 4. This product did the trick. The phone sits comfortably and securely in either portriat or landscape mode. I have used it in both suction and vent clip mode. There is a little movement withthe vent clip, but not much. My only complain is the wattage is low and therefore gives a slow charge.
