The charger itself works great. I have a case with a popper on the back so I have to remove the case before I can charge the phone each time which is a pain but understandable.

SLOW Charge
Took insert out and it fit snug. It charges SLOW!! I went on a road trip and my sons ipod touch was using my phone as a hotspot. My phone died while laying on this charger. I believe it was getting more power from my phone than the charger could handle. Never had that issue just plugging my phone in directly to charger.

Doesn’t want to charge through cover and slow charging issues.
Bought this as my BMW X4 didn’t have wireless charging due to the chip shortage. Installed very easily but my phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 10+) barely fits on the charger and I have to maneuver it around a lot to get it to charge. I also get a lot of slow charging alerts on this device as well.

Overheats Phone
Used it for a few days, it charges EXTREMELY slowly. After a few days of use my phone now tells me it’s overheating when on the charging pad, and it does indeed feel hot, even after just a few minutes. Cheap construction. Not worth the price.

Does not fit in 2023 BMW X3
Newer X3s have a different arrangement in the fornt tray, not as deep and no room for this item to fit in. Return has been allowed (I never even broke open the plastic envelope with the connecting cord as it was so obvious it would not fit) so that’s not an issue — but don’t buy it if you are unsure about fitting. Listing should be changed to make this clear.

This is the perfect addition to anyone with an X3! Easy to install and works great. It charges my Flip 4 and my wifes S20 with ease, and it charges fast!! It also stops charging when the phone battery is full. looks like it came from the factory! I highly recommend this charger!!!

Does not function as advertised.
I failed to realize my 2023 BMW X3 did not have a wireless car charger at purchase. So, I ended up on Amazon in search of one. I purchased this charger. I didn’t keep it long enough to determine how well it would charge. Unlike as advertised, the charger blocked the pull gate. Being able to close the pull gate was an important function for me. I will say it was an easy install.

It takes about 20 minutes to gain 3% charge.
This fits the X3 well and was easy to install with the supplied cable. The only problem is the charge rate, which is abysmal. My android flip 5 was at 56% when I placed it on the pad and stated it would take 3 hrs. and 24 minutes to fully charge. After 20 minutes I gave up as the charge had only reached 59%.

Due to whatever shortage is going on, the charger and heads up display couldn’t be installed in my 22 X4. The charger fits perfectly, looks like it was built in and charges fast. Make sure the cord is inserted firmly. Love it!

It is nice to get something that is exactly as described. It fit perfectly. It looks good and charges IPhones.As stated in previous reviews, the rubber cubby liner has to be removed but isn’t visible due to the charger covering the area.

Works great
I was worried about slow wireless charging, however it seems to be perfectly reasonable charging speed. Only thing is I am uncertain if the power totally turns off when the car is off, since the blue power light seems to stay on. However bmw X3 also stays on after turning off engine so unclear.

Overheating issue
When my iPhone is sitting on the charger, the charging pad gets very warm. Due to the overheating of the charging pad, the iPhone disables the battery charging feature. The iPhone can run using the power from the wireless charging pad. But the phone battery does not get charged at all.

Great for phones that don’t have a raised camera
With the IPhone 13 Pro Max and it’s raised camera the phone would disengage charging mode with bumps and I would constantly have to reposition the phone when driving. It’s should work great on a smaller phone without a raised camera though.

Hard to get this to work with a iphone 12 pro max
After installing this charger in my BMW X3 which to took a while to get the extra wire hidden so the charger would fit in place, I found I can’t use it with my phone case which defeats the purpose. In order to get it to work I have to remove my phone case or I just get a blinking light and no charge. It says it works with the iphone 12 pro max. Just don’t tell you have have to remove your phone case and it uses the only usb port that allows you to add to your hard drive in the car so if you want to add music to your car’s hard dive you have to remove the charger every time. There are better models of a charger out there but they are a little more expensive but maybe worth the money. Just mad I didn’t find out until after my return window had closed.

Stopped working after a 3 months
The product fits BMW X3/X4 SUV’s well but rarely worked. In the beginning it seemed like it was charging but later I find it drops out on iPhones 12-15 pro’s . three months later it’s only a place holder.To late to return but warning to others

This item fits my BMW x3 2020. When I installed it, there was a movement when I press one side of it and I just used 3M 2 sides adhesives pads and it worked well..

Amazing accessory
It fits like a perfect glove.. Just remove the existing tray , connect the USB , and viola… we have a wireless charger in the car.. My phone initially had a problem as I had glued a magnet for phone holder on the backside.. Wasn’t easy to remove (PS: Switching off the phone and putting it in freezer for 15 minutes , helped to break the superglue..)

Go wireless or go home
Purchased one for my 2021 BMW X3 M40i. Installed quickly and works great. A tip is that it will turn on automatically once you start the car, so be sure to monitor this since it will heat up any objects on top of the charging surface.

Works great with iPhone14 pro. Lid closes with phone on charger, but you HAVE to remove the rubber pad first. Disclaimer the 14 pro cameras make wireless charging finicky.

Will Work, but not a snap in feel to installation
Product was simple plastic, not attractive or unattractive. Withthe right hand drive BMW X4 the USB outlet is on the left side of the console so the connection is a bit kinked and cramped. Otherwise the devise works as expected. A plus is the indicator light to show power as well as charging status.

Fits, but…
So, this fits perfectly in my 2022 X3. Charges my phone fine. The only thing I dislike is that you can’t close the sliding door if you have ANYTHING sitting on this. If there was a unit that was somewhat recessed so a phone could fit and the sliding door could close, it would be perfect.Cheaper that the OEM, even if you could find one, and I find it functions perfectly. No issues with the operation.

Works well with CarPlay
Confirmed to charge iPhone 13 and increase battery level while CarPlay is being used. Not a fast charger, but it does not need to be. Also, phone is only slightly warm when it is being charged. Taking one star off because the fit could be improved. It wobbles a bit after installation. I had to put some self-adhesive felt to help with the loose fit.

Charges VERY slowly and rattles a bit even at low speeds
Disappointed to be honest.It sits a little unevenly on the base and does some minor rattling even at low speeds.Also, VERY slow charging, with no active apps on my iPhone 12 Pro. And it either sustains the % or slowly loses charge when using CarPlay navigation + Music etc.Will be approaching the seller to determine if it’s a faulty unit to exchange , or to try some other brand / design.

Does not fit to the area it was intended to on my 2024 BMW X3
My newly purchased BMW X3 did not come with the factory installed charging pad. I thought that this item would solve that but it just wouldn’t fit into the space it was intended for. It was too thick making it impossible to place any type of phone on it.
